A bit about me

001

Hello there! πŸ‘‹ I am Abbey.

I am a UX Product designer currently based in London. I value human connection, growth & openness. I view design as a powerful means of thinking and doing to positively impact the world.

Applying my background in UX research, product design, and visual design, I currently work in the Tech Innovation team at News UK - exploring new and exciting AI concepts for titles like The Times and The Sun. This role has deepened my UX and UI skillset and sparked a strong interest in both qualitative and quantitative research. I’m especially drawn to the process of co-creating and testing new ideas directly with users, I find it energising, collaborative, and genuinely fun.

Previously, I worked as a Product Design Intern at Redgate Software (a leading DevOps SaaS provider), and as a Visual Designer for almost 2 years at Sponge (a UK Top 5 EdTech company). If you are wondering what it is like to work with me, feel free to read my User Manual.

Transitioning to more experimental projects while maintaining a keen interest in HCD and more-than-human-centred design, I graduated with an Distinction from the MA User Experience Design at the University of the Arts London. I believe design has the power to make impact, and I hope to discover more feasible and inclusive design solutions for navigating our increasingly entangled world.

I love anything that gives me space to be creative, whether that’s through the work I do, or in my free time making jewellery, drawings, or crafting pottery.
